Forensic Visualization in a $15.25 Million Wrongful Death Case
A fatal collision between a front loader and a pedestrian raised critical questions about the loader’s speed and the operator’s ability to see the person ahead. With the bucket raised to 5.87 feet, the driver’s forward view was obstructed, leaving him driving blind in the pedestrian’s direction.
Top View Animation provided photogrammetry, speed analysis, and forensic animation to help explain how the collision unfolded. Using measurements derived from photographs alongside the speed analysis, we created animated hypothetical scenarios showing the loader traveling at different speeds. Comparing those scenarios against the available evidence helped evaluate which speed best fit the accident sequence.
The visualization also illustrated how the raised bucket obstructed the driver’s view. Together, these animations helped connect visibility, speed, distance, and timing in a sequence the legal team could examine and explain. The underlying analysis guided what appeared on screen.

Construction Co. Hit With $27.7M Verdict Over Collision with Motorcyclist
Michael LaPlante suffered a leg amputation and underwent 18 surgeries after his motorcycle was struck by a truck driven by construction worker Antelmo Martinez. Led by Brian Panish, LaPlante’s legal team pursued claims against Martinez and his employer, Griffith Construction, disputing whether Martinez’s commute fell within the scope of his employment.
Top View Animation recreated the crash scene, developed legal graphics, and produced animations illustrating different collision scenarios. These visuals helped make the sequence of events easier to understand and supported the legal team’s presentation of the case.
Case Study: Reconstructing a Vehicle–Pedestrian Run-Over
A 2022 incident involving a Chevrolet Volt left a 71-year-old pedestrian struck and run over. The vehicle reversed and then moved forward, making the pedestrian’s position and the sequence of contact central to explaining how the incident unfolded.

Top View Animation recreated the scene, modeled the vehicle and pedestrian, and developed forensic animation illustrating their movements and positions. Based on a client-provided sketch, the animation depicted a sequence in which both left tires passed over the pedestrian.

During a procedure to place an implanted venous access port, a patient developed a dangerously slow heart rate and required CPR. An echocardiogram revealed fluid around the heart, raising concern for cardiac tamponade. Emergency surgery identified and repaired a puncture in the right atrium to stop the bleeding. The patient was transferred to the pediatric intensive care unit in critical condition.
